Why 'A' Level
Chemistry?
Miracle Learning Center is especially brewed for all JC1 and JC2 students who are in situations such as: Not faring well in school assessments, i.e. CAs and block tests despite putting in long hours. Determined to build a strong foundation in Chemistry as a springboard for Chemistry related courses in university such as Medicine or Chemical Engineering. Desire to equip oneself to A.C.E. Chemistry in Promos and ‘A’ Level At Miracle Learning Centre, core concepts and detailed explanations sometimes not taught in schools due to time constraint would be covered. Mr Wong understands the demands of H2 Chemistry and ensures that key concepts for each topic would be introduced first before getting down to details as providing too many facts at the start may be overwhelming and confusing for students. With Mrs Lew guidance, students would be able to tackle challenging questions with more confidence and speed as they know exactly the key concepts to apply. This is made possible through a wide range of carefully selected questions from each topic from past years preliminary examinations and ‘A’ Levels.
Students who miss a lesson can arrange for a make up lesson to replace their missed lesson.
Students can make up for the session they missed with another class of the same subject on a space availability basis, e.g. replace the Friday Math class with a Saturday one. Students who are unable to make up for the same subject may also choose to replace the class with another subject on a space availability basis, e.g. replace the English class they cannot attend with a Math class. All make up or replacement lessons must be completed within 4 weeks of the originally scheduled class or the option of the make-up or replacement class will be forfeited. Students are responsible for initiating arrangements for make-up or replacement lesson with O Level Master.
Lectures are just but one of the tools used in teaching methods. Mr Wong fully understands that each student is unique and this method of teaching would only appeal best to students who are auditory learners. Being a firm believer of Howard Gardners Theory of Multiple Intelligence, Mr Wong employs a variety of teaching techniques in each lesson to engage students of different learning styles. In addition, with Mr Wong’s vast experience and passion in science research and development, Chemistry comes alive at each lesson as he relates concepts learnt to real-life applications. In a typical JC, notes for the various topics are usually prepared by a few teachers. In this way, students may not see the connections across topics. At Miracle Learning Centre, concise notes capturing the essence of each topic are all prepared by Mr Wong. Besides quality notes, students are given practice questions of varying levels of difficulty according to Blooms Taxonomy. Such scaffolding of students learning helps build up mastery and confidence in each topic, putting them in good stead to handle the demands of the GCE ‘A’ Level Examinations.
Students should understand that they have less than 2 years to prepare for their ‘A’ Levels. Most schools start their JC 1 school term in the middle to late February each year. Students who have just entered JC1 from their secondary schools are usually in their honeymoon mood, enjoying the vibrant and exciting JC life. Many are still unaware of the big gap between ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level Chemistry. Most students would get a wake-up call after the first major assessment, i.e. Block Test, after the June break. According to past experiences, many JC1 students do not do well in the Block Test. The common reasons are: inability to understand increasingly complicated concepts in Chemistry, problems in connecting concepts learned and huge obstacles faced in applying these concepts. Such situations can be rectified if they seek help early. Tuition provides an avenue for students to reinforce concepts learnt in school and opportunities to clear any misconception at the first instance. Having tuition at the start of JC1 would pave a solid foundation for their end of year promotional examinations and most importantly, prepare them well for the ‘A’ Levels.
Students are free to ask questions during lessons. In fact, we encourage interaction. Students are also welcome to stay back after lesson for clarification of any doubts they may have regarding the lesson. Separate one-to-one consultation on ad-hoc basis can also be arranged upon request but the tutor must be given advance notice and the students must come before the regular class starts.

Level Chemistry?
Our Chemistry Physics Tuition classes are designed to help students struggling with subjects like Physics and Chemistry. We prioritize offering our expert guidance and tutoring to students who are struggling to score well in school and want to prepare for JC level courses in future. Our expert tutors are dedicated to give them the best learning experience and shape them to make right career choices in these subjects. By joining our tuition classes students get detailed explanations of the core concepts which may sometimes not be taught or covered in schools mainly due to time constraints. We focus on not just introducing each of the topics of the Physics and Chemistry subjects but also get into detailed learning of them to help students prepare in the best way possible.
If a student misses a class, they can schedule a make-up session. Classes can be made up on a space-availability basis, either by attending another session of the same subject or a different subject, if available. The make-up session must be completed within 4 weeks of the original class, or the option to make-up will be forfeited. It is the student’s responsibility to coordinate the make-up with O Level Master.

While many students may initially be caught up in the excitement of JC life, they may not yet realise the significant difference between Secondary and ‘A’ Level Chemistry. This can often become clear after the first major assessment, such as the June Block Test, where some JC1 students struggle due to difficulties with increasingly complex concepts, connecting ideas, and applying what they’ve learned. To address these challenges, seeking early help through tuition can help reinforce concepts and correct any misunderstandings. Starting tuition at the beginning of JC1 will lay a strong foundation for end-of-year exams and prepare students well for their ‘A’ Level exams.
In our Chemistry Physics Tuition classes, students have every right to ask a question to the tutors. In fact, students are always encouraged to ask questions during lessons for better understanding. Additionally, those seeking further clarification can stay back after the lesson or request a separate one-to-one consultation. However, the tutor must be given prior notice for the latter and the student must arrive before the start of the regular class.
